Circuit Designer KE6305 MERIDIAN Technology Group is seeking a Circuit Designer KE6305 with knowledge of data communications, protocols and technologies such as: TDM, ATM, Frame Relay, SS-7, TCP/IP, X.25, SONET, VoIP, UMTS. Must have knowledge of ATM and DACS platforms (Tellabs and Alcatel) along with knowledge of databases. Must also have advanced knowledge of circuit port connectivity. Applied telecom experience crucial. In-depth knowledge of the PSTN and telecommunications transport networks and their configurations required. Prior vendor management experience also required. Strong personal computer skills preferred including knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, MapInfo, Visio and Xpercom (Granite) provisioning software. Knowledge of all Call Server/MGW, MSC and BSC platforms (Ericsson, Nokia, Nortel, Spatial Wireless, Alcatel) preferred. Knowledge of all 3G switching and UTRAN platforms (Nokia, Tellabs, Alcatel Spatial) also preferred. You will design and implement connectivity within a network including IMTs, A-links and PSTN T1s. Perform and assist transport grooms, rollovers and audits. Updating the database to keep accurate records. Coordinate the circuit turn up with internal switch operations and ATM transport if needed. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written essential. Associates degree in applied sciences or 0-2 years technical telecom experience required.
