Senior Voice Network Engineer KE7075 MERIDIAN Technology Group seeks a Senior Voice Network Engineer KE7075 with 8 years of technical experience designing, implementing and operating advanced multi-vendor telecommunications systems, applications and infrastructure in a globally distributed environment. Must be a strong technical project leader and be fluent in VoIP implementations. Must have experience with traffic engineering, call management systems, inbound call centers, CRM, IVR, ACD and CTI. Must have experience with Avaya Definity, Avaya Communication Manager, Nortel Meridian and the Genesys 7.x software framework. Must have expert level understanding and experience with traditional switch Circuit Network and VoIP signaling protocols and standards (ex. SS7, H.232 and SIP). Must have advanced understanding and operational experience with multi-vendor (Avaya, Nortel and Cisco) media gateways and media server infrastructure. Experience designing, implementing and monitoring VoIP services on a converged global network using QoS and CoS required. Expert level understanding and experience with advanced carrier network offerings including MPLS, T1, E1, DS-3, SONET required. Experience with Unified Communication Services (Avaya, Cisco, Nortel or Microsoft) required. Experience conducting carrier services technology analysis, pricing analysis and contract negotiation with global carriers on an international and domestic level required. Proven track record leading and delivering complex enterprise voice infrastructure projects and relevant experience with cable plant management for voice, data and service provider connectivity also required. Relevant industry certifications such as CCVP or ACE desired. Experience delivering solutions within an accepted project management methodology (such as PMI) also desired. You will partner with business customers and technical teams to engineer cost-effective, requirements based voice solutions that align with client's goals and strategies. Design, develop and implement highly available TDM and IP voice systems that support revenue generating operations and mission critical applications. Develop and implement engineering standards, systems and strategies within a Systems Development Life Cycle. Provide engineering support for multi-vendor clustered and stand-alone voice systems. Write and contribute to project plans, author engineering level documentation and develop detailed test plans. Travel as required. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent education and experience required.
